Julien Rasquinet

Since a very early age, Julien found in creative arts a way of communicating his feelings and thoughts. He loved to paint, to draw, to design and create costumes for theatre and puppets. But it was only after graduating from business school that he discovered what would become his passion and profession. After a revealing encounter with the famous perfumer Pierre Bourdon, he knew he was destined to creating perfumes. He offered Julien to become his master. During 3 years of intensive training program, Pierre shared with him his creation philosophy, his techniques, his passion. 

Distinctive note: Leather accord

Smell: leather accord offers soft and enveloping notes typical of suede, with musky, woody and balsamic hints.

Origin: the history of Florentine leather dates back to 1282, when the Arte dei Cuoiai o Galigai (Curriers or Tanners Guild) was created. Tanning took place initially downstream Ponte Vecchio, where it was common to put the hides to soak on the bed of the Arno river. In the Sixteenth Century, this guild reached the highest peak in quality terms, making Florence the university site for masters of leather goods, renowned throughout the world.

Extraction: the leather accord is a creation of the perfumer built around the warm notes of suede.
